Workspaces open only for the people you invite

A cloud workspace now opens for its owner and the people they invite, either to read or to work in it fully. Everyone else in the project still sees every workspace and what it is doing, and can ask for access in one click.

New

  • DesktopInvite someone to read a workspace or to work in it fully. Members, from the faces in the workspace header, shows who has access and lets the owner change or remove it.
  • DesktopOpening a workspace you are not in shows a lock with Request to read and Request full access. It opens by itself once the owner accepts.
  • DesktopAnswer access requests from Mentions or the bell: choose the level, then Accept or Decline. Declining is silent.
  • DesktopWith read access you see chats, files, diffs and logs and can watch terminals. Controls that need full access stay in place, dimmed, with a way to ask for it.
  • MobileThe phone does the same: request access, accept from Mentions, manage members, and read-only workspaces.

Improved

  • DesktopThe workspace list stays put. Newest first by default, and each row says what the workspace is doing and, separately, whether it wants something from you.
  • DesktopMine now includes the workspaces you were invited to, and Resources shows every workspace in the project.
  • EngineLosing access, or moving to read-only, takes effect on open chats and terminals within seconds.
